Do you eat meat? wear fur/leather?

I stumbled across this documentary the other day...it's an hour and a half long but it's very upsetting (be warned) I am not a veggie and I wear leather shoes...even so, it certainly makes one stop and think!! ...(p.s. don't let your kids watch it)

Hi, I have been a veggie for 14 years now. I try not to wear leather, but it is quite difficult. That is why I'm not a vegan. I haven't watched the documentary yet, it's probably nothing worse than I've seen before.

I'll bury my head in the sand and have another burger please[8)]

I meet my meat most of the time - friends have a smallholding

Did not like the style of film making though - a load of quotes, footage and stats..... D+ must try harder

Well if ignorance is bliss I must be very blissful!

Yes I eat meat, yes I wear leather, no I don't wear fur (well not since I lost my fur-lined handcuffs!). I understand the arguments against but we have been using animals for food and clothing for thousands of years and I don't see that changing.

I am not a person, I am a number, 395 actually......Be seeing you!
If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

I haven't watched it but I'm sure I've seen this sort of thing before. Bad conditions, mass production etc etc .......

Well chaps if you only want to pay 99p for your burgers then that's what it takes......
Oh and it ain't going to be hand reared Angus now is it! (Same argument as with the Horse meat thing)

I, like Admin, could probably ring the guy who fed the cow that my burgers came from I could go out to the field now and look at the lamb and let my boys feed it etc
But the cost involved in getting that sort of hand reared animal on to your plate is almost prohibitive, my burgers cost a lot more than 99p, and until people start to pay for that quality of meat the conditions are not going to improve for the animals.......

As Baz has said we have always eaten meat as a species and probably always will!
