Hi Forum, i know some years ago there was a thread on here i believe a german engineer fitted (with a lot of trouble ) disc brakes to his commer . has there been any development that would make for an easier conversion i have a 75 Auto sleeper called Maise. Also again people have struggled with this but any other possibly more modern engines that fit without serious chassis or body work mods required . my van is standard but just curious ... i have a spannermans skill level ... regards Socrates .

Hi Socrates and welcome to the Madhouse:D
It was a guy in Australia, Suinnyboy, who was developing the system that involved modifying Navara discs to fit on re-engineered Commer stub axles if I remember correctly, but we haven't heard from him for a while. Martin Maltas is well on the way to developing a system that bolts straight on to the Commer hubs so watch this space.
