Has anybody replaced the crappy bulbs in their Smith's instruments with LEDs? If so which ones and are they brighter?
 
I replaced them on Ted, just got a set off Ebay. I used the soft white ones and they are an improvement, just don't fit an LED to the ignition lamp as the alternator needs a conventional bulb resistance for the system to work.
 
Not sure, I think they were the flat ones. It was ages ago when they first started appearing.
 
I went flat - can’t find the eBay order though I’m afraid.
Makes a massive difference - to the point where you can read them at night :)
