It's not without rust - in the door bottom and below the side window. It does appear to be very nice, but I would want near concours at that price.

It would be a most sensible move, especially if it had overdrive:) The bits could always be kept to return it to original.

I agree with jules.

Desirable model, desirable year, original looking, good patina, some history,, nice colour etc

We've seen ones twice as bad (or half as good) go for half as much.

With a vw badge nailed to the front it would be a bargin.

Very nice, I like the colour and the three seats at the front. A bit over priced though, but worth it to keep another comer on the road.
