Hi guys and girls. For those of you in the South East region, there's this cracking little show with a country feel that I've been going to the last couple of years. There was a really good turn out last year (500+ vehicles I think) with a real mix of vehicles, including agricultural and motorbikes if you're into that kind of thing. There was a Highwayman there last year which I hope to see again as I don't think it's on the forum. And there's a good autojumble - I've never come away empty handed!
We'll be there with Tulip unless it's hammering down with rain. If you register, you and a passenger get in free (you can't say fairer than that!) More details are available at -
This was a really good show; bigger and better than ever with a huge mix of vehicles and stalls + the sun had his hat on! The mystery forum member that I saw at the Capel show also attended this show (not in his Commer ) and Dumpy the Highwayman made a repeat appearance. Now being a fellow commerade, I got talking to the owners. Turns out they've owned it 26 years and use it to attend various shows. Apparently the previous owner was a complete tea freak and built in a water heater which takes heat from the engine so that you can have an instant brew! Another bonus is that it also helps keep the engine cooler.
They had no idea that this forum existed so were pretty chuffed when I gave them the details. They highly recommend the Classic Camper club, so I'll be looking into that.
If you're in the area next year, I'd definitely recommend putting this show in your calendar.
How rare is this???
Dumpy!
Humber Sceptre - I used to love these as a kid
The Groovy Gang's fleet
I had one of these - it's a GTM Coupe which consists of two Mini subframes and not a lot in between. Great car!
