I am happy to hang around sunday not sure about the others.lanceolot arrived at the cambridgeshire meet in time as we were clearing up.Daytona arrived to an empty field even later.can you not come saturday ?

Can't do Saturday as I'm taking my son to Silverstone to watch our friends in their Imps do battle with the Mustangs, Galaxies and Lotus Cortinas in the final round of the Historic Saloon Car Championship. Then I have to have him back at his Mum's by about 5.30-6pm. I should only take about 1hr 45 mins or so to get there in the Imp so if I leave about 7am you'll all still be sleeping it off when I get there won't you?

Ok well been off CVF for a few weeks and you plan someting as good as this.....Ive got kids but coventry is not far so I will be up for the day on saturday, just hope i put the right fuel in this time and get there before you all go home. Lmao please dont tell anyone i did the fuel thing its really embarassing... its like commerabuse

In Holland back in May with the Imp club I filled up with what I thought was Gasoline but soon found out it was Gas Oilie (diesel!). Took an hour to drain it of, thank gawd I had a can of u/l in the boot!

At least you could blame the language barrier, i only could mope about, think what a dick i was and blame the really heavy night before. The AA were useless, they said it was self induced, the diesel that is and said they would only take me to a garage where i would have to pay for the fuel drain. but they took so long to arrive that I had it emptied...

dont forget guys if there is anyone out there who is a new member to the forum without a commer but has a tent like me and panky then you can still come along and join in the fun.the farmer wont charge you extra to sleep over just because you dont have a campervan.its the same price for everyone.

Hi everyone Heidi and I are devastated that we are unable to make it on this Commer meet .
We are leaving Gladys at home that weekend and going to a charity ball at the Hilton in Bradford to help raise funds for Myeloma UK.
We know you will have a great time, and look forward to seeing the photographs on the forum.
We are the current holder of the distance trophy and will ask Panky when we see him next if he will take it down to the meet with him.

Well I've got the time off work. So all being well (and there not being torrential rain like we had last night), I should be setting off around mid-day Friday on the long drive to Coventry. Anyone know what has been decided on the food front?? I'm easy with both options, will just need to know before I go shopping on the Thursday.

what we can do is once most of the people are here on friday or saturday morn we can decide if we want the farmer to lay on the barbie and chip in then, and have it on the saturday night, if no ones interested then we can just leave it and let ourselves do what we have to do ,so to speak.
