youve kept that abit quiet mate. whos going with you,or is it on your own.how long are you going for.(forever)[?]:( what sort of job will you be doing out there. i hope it all goes well for you, but you will be greatly missed im sure everyone will agree.[V]:p
 
lol i dont want to try and imagine the shipping charge on that big bugger!...hahaa...hopefully find myself a nice ole Commer over there if all goes to plan..
 
:)I've read a lot of talk about V8 Commers (which I'd do in a second if my partner would let me) but no 4WD Commers? Getting stuck on a 2 degree incline on wet grass is so embarrassing.:D



You got me thinking , we used to have a mitsubishi express l300 4wd van to go wind surfing and beach cruisen, now I'm sure the front ends were bolt in with torsion bar stock motor was a 2.6 petrol but you could get after market holden V6 conversions to fit in and mate to 4wd trans(5spd), they had good gearing for highway and beach deep sand driving but needed more torque so looked at v6.then plans changed and sold van .
the only problem I see is the commers narrow front track but if you raise body up slightly you may get turning of wider track in without body contact but I see no probs in shortening half shafts if you were to leave standard height and not go bush.Grab a tape and look for late model 4wd vans ,local councils here used them a lot.[8D]
