Commers on TV

Hi Martin.
I was right in guessing it was for headroom reasons, and not just for show?
Just being curious,as i didn`t see the set-up from your bus, but was the access for passengers through the front passengers side? as the high roof runs all the way to the front of the bus.
 
headroom made perfect sense to me - hadn't seen your van before garyfshutt - looks wonderful in the photo, is it still a Bessie[?][:X]:)

Spotted! Minibus in the Downe Arms car park at Wykeham. I didn't see it in person but from the description it sounded a lot like a Commer, was it you Martin?
 
also spotted - caught some of 'Kessler' in passing on UKTV history today - had BT Telecom PB as undercover surveillance vehicle[8D]

the high roof is not for headroom if im right i always thought there was a well in top of the roof for storage, some of the postbuses had little pull out steps on the nrside of the vehicle to climb up
