Dolly Commer Is Here http://66.129.69.181/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6833

Well this is talking about anyhting so here goes. People might remember the collapse of my garage, driveway and workshop last year due to dodgy builders next door undermining the foundations. These were WW2 bomb shelters so you can imagine the cock up that happened, fortunately the landslip stopped 3 feet from my house.

Anyway after months of worry whether he was insured, I've got my cheque to rebuild. Buying the Commer off Rich (Steve Williams on here) was based on a new garage that would fit the Commer so a big relief. Hoping can get my 1977 Celica resto project back from storage this year and crack on with that. Garage is going to be fully heated...lovely, think I might move in :)

Oh to bring it back to the pub theme, I might fit a bar. See people at the NEC, the van might be on the stand there, currently a reserve.

glad its sorted weve just discovered about 10grands worth of extras:D:D:D:D
weathers crap here today, cold and very misty forecasters wrong again.seems the better the technology the worse the forecasts get

best tell Tim not to forget the cherry:D actually stick a brandy in it and it might be drinkable:D:D

Amazing about the space jumper..........I did a solo parachute jump for charity once, it was amazing!!! i have a video somewhere but it's on an old video tape so I can't post it...shame!
the scariest bit is going up in the plane...it had no door, just a big gap! when you jump out and the chute opens, there is no sound, no concept of falling.....just the most amazing peace and amazing views...our james (12) wants to do it but he is not old enough, but when he is, I might just do it with him[8D][8D]

Well, this pub is a bit quiet tonight.....maybe everyone is down the Rover's ...can we have the telly on landlord? so we can watch 'stand up for cancer' ....

one of the many reasons I haven't been around much is because we nearly lost my Dad...he had to have some of his bowel, his Appendix and his spleen removed due to cancer...........

One of the reasons we are not making the meet soon is because I will be in hospital on the 29th having a biopsy on a suspected mouth cancer...well, they pretty sure it's cancer, it's to find out if it's benign or not...

hahaha! unlike me to be 'doom & gloom' ...you did say talk about anything...

I'll have a double whisky and Diet pepsi please with plenty of ice:D[8D]

Bloody hell Colin you're going through it just now, the 29th must seem an eternity away. Best wishes to your Dad and hopefully he will enjoy a decent quality of life.

So kind Tim lol.........my dad is 'ok' now and is all clear....he is so skinny though (he looked like me before)(only slightly older and better looking )(before you say it)

Panky, yes it's been a loooooooonnnnnng year waiting around and stressfull year....

To be honest, as though that stuff wasn't enough there are other things that have happened within our family this year that i couldn't possibly publish here.........you will just have to trust me!

anyways, (and no I haven't been on the Gin) lol ....I hope the rest of you have a great time at the meet......

Good news is I may get a job offer soon, with my old company (well, they been taken over) I still have contacts...they have offered me a start tommorrow but want me to go self employed......erm, No thanks!..they came looking for me, so hopefully if I hold out I will get the deal I want on my terms:D[8D]

well done that man! ...I wonder if Steve (The Pub Landlord) will furnish the bar with cheese and biscuits or maybe even roast spuds on Sunday lunchtime?

Maybe Admin should change Steve's status to ''Pub Landlord'' ??

blimey colin youre going through it,its hard seeing your parents ill,we had major problems as well this year, hope the 29th turns out ok
the problem with real ale and pickled onions only appears later after youve left the pub, normally from under the quilt:D
then the complaining starts, its funny how flatulence seems exclusive to us men
