Thinking about treating myself to it when I retire in 2016. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it?

If I told you I was a pathological liar, would you believe me?

There are several options of treatment depending on what you need...I was 'long sighted' the best option for me was 'Lasik' intralase with wavefront (the 'wavefront' is to prevent glare at night from headlights etc) it would normally cost about £3600 but I went for my first consultation about 3 years ago and couldn't afford it at the time and they (optical express) kept emailing me with special offers...they sent one just after xmas and I ended up paying £2013 ....It's not the most comfortable experience but it only actually took just under 15mins for both eyes...I started driving again today, so just under a week to recover...it feels like you have grit in your eyes for a few days and you have to wear sunglasses all the time, even indoors, I couldn't watch TV first day or so.......apart from that it's great ...a nice feeling of freedom:D

Mine was one of the most expensive treatments, yours may not be that much...they g/tee it for life so I guess if you weigh up how much it will cost you for new glasses over the next ten years, it's not that expensive really...

Hi Colin, my son had this done last year, reckons that it,s the best thing he ever did. At 27,he finds the freedom from glasses and contact lens's amazing, he has a bit of dry eye from time to time but uses some special eye drops and is fine again. All the best ;). Trev

Are you coming to Pandy this year Trev? and Colin if you haven't still got Tigger then a tent is all you need:)

Cheers Colin, that's a bit steep for me at the moment but I may be able to dip into the pension pot in a few years time. i'm short-sighted so maybe I'm cheap?!

Don't know if i'll manage it this time as I'm hoping to get my Imp finished for classics at Crystal Palace at whitsun and Beaulieu the week-end before if possible, at the moment i'm not being able to crack on due to the weather and the lack of a decent garage[V]. If it had been may bank holiday i might of made it.:(

May bank holiday is before the spring bank holiday Trev! The May one is the Imp birthday at Coventry isn't it?

Yeah, think i will be still putting the Imp back together that week-end. Its not even in paint yet, no running gear on it. just a shell.
