COMMERN-INN

Had a lovely weekend:I Woke up on Friday morning to find the garden pond had decided to empty itself and the pump had burnt out because it had been running dry[xx(] so off to the pond shop for a new liner and pump. What a mucky smelly job and all for half a dozen goldfish and four frogs:I

I only did it because we thought there where twelve fish - and I haven't got a bucket big enough to keep them in;)
Stupid flippin frogs[V] they kept jumping back into the pond as I was baling it out:I They ended up diving two feet into four inches of stinky mud - ploppppppppp:I

So, if you knew there were only 6 you would of let them die?[:0][:0]

Unusual that the frogs share the fish pond, they don't usually live together...we have several times put frogs in our pond and by morning they have vanished! Oliver put a dozen newts in the pond one night, never to seen again:I

They would have lived in the bucket silly:)
Our pond is pretty much left to it's own devices, frogs like a bit of slime to wade through, they came of their own accord so it's their home - if you try and introduce them they will hop out and try to find their way back home again:I

Ah, our pond is probably too clean for frogs lol ....I have koi aswell as goldfish so well filtered and ultra-violet lighting to kill the green........was a mystery about the newts though, unless the fish ate them[:0]

I didn't know that about frogs trying to find there way home again....it's a long way from here to yours :D:D

It's filtered but just a simple gravel one, all the stinky mud at the bottom (I put a bucket full bach in) and plenty of plants keep the water nice and clear - naturally[^]
Like pigeons frogs are - I thought I had more than four:I

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, Colin. [V]

My dad passed away in a rush a few years ago, and it was a difficult time. My thoughts are with you.

And I'm very saddened by your imminent "departure" and selling the camper. Send me an email please, would you? Thanks, Colin :)
