Hi has anyone have a readable copy of the wiring diagram for the commer I need to know what goes where thanks.

There is one in the manual on the home page to download but To be honest i wouldnt bother with the original diagram. Its hard to read and the setup is so basic i would just re wire it.. All the circuit feeds go to the fuse box (ok thats a bit optimistic description fot it) above the pedels. Its mounted to the reinforcing bar for the front panal. There should be two live feeds to this box. One permenant live and one ignition live. I seperated all the circuit feeds and fitted two seperate fuseboxes. Each and every circuit has its own fuse. It really is quite straight forward once you get into it. There is also the added reasurance that all the wiring is in good condition and thoroughly checked before anything happens.
Dont underestimate the damage a short without fuse protection can do. A friend recently made a mistake while wiring up the house batteries on his house bus. The main power cable went up like ripcord and nearly destroyed the whole bus. Luckely i had a pair of side cutter to hand and choped the cable before the fire took hold. Lesson learned.

That's right you cannot read the wire colours. And you may be right to totally redo the old fuse box and like you said once you get your head around it.
With alot more gear to wire up,the automatic,heater fans, thermo fan,automatic choke and the list goes on.

The wire colour codes in P.Olyslager's are legible and on Ebay:)

The simpler the betterer...
 
I'm toying with the idea of hi-jacking the front wiring loom from a modern van, possibly an L300. Will still need to be modified but all the additional features like heater, hazard lights etc will be there.
 
All this talk about electrics prompted me to have a look at my van this afternoon. 2 fuses! Bloody luxury! Took the cover off the fuse box, an optimistic description if ever, and discovered my van has only 1, though I did notice another located in the back of the headlight switch. I was quite surprised there wasn't an old nail in there or a dead fuse wrapped in foil from a pack of fags.
