Selling it like that is not illegal, it,s what the buyer does with it that could be ;)

still think its illegal.its not being sold as memorabilia and is suggesting breaking the law by re vin plating a vehicle and making it out to be younger than it is to avoid road tax
 
The advert will only be pulled if someone complains and even then the seller is actually doing nothing wrong or illegal, he may be suggesting that the buyer can do something with it that would be against the law but how can it illegal to sell a V5C and the remains of a chassis? it is`nt! I have been to classic car auction where vintage Bentleys and the like have sold for many many thousands of pounds and what has been sold is no more than a box of bits and the id.
