Hi All,

Does anyone know what the 2 circled button/switch is on the picture below?

I think the switch may be an over-drive switch (but this is a guess!

fitted aftermarket so difficult. If the switch self returns to the middle then it could be an overdrive…does it have an overdrive box fitted

ok thanks. I have no idea what was fitted or how to check.
Just wondered if anyone knew what they were.
It does flick up and down and looks like the middle is off but not sure what it does.

Does it self return to the middle on a spring I.e so it flicks up or down but then self centres?
Also if the van has an overdrive box fitted it will have an OD switch so would probably solve the mystery. Look at the gearbox and check for an OD bolted to the rear of the gearbox, will be alloy coloured with a Laycock plate on it

Btw we haven't restored, we paid someone to do it for us.

Horn or windscreen washer? Mine gas switches for them. I know original screen pump not good enough for mot so aftermarket pump was fitted on mine

Are the wires to the switch old? As you may be able to get an idea if they’re Commer colour coded.
