Commer Register?

Chassis number and style of conversion, colours etc should be OK. Thing is, most vans on this site have their reg numbers visible in many photos so not sure if leaving reg numbers out will achieve anything.

Good point!

I was wondering whether it would be an identity risk, you know? Someone might copy the plates to avoid getting speeding fines with their commer :D

As far as info goes, this is the list I have so far:

VIN, Reg Number, Model, Bodywork Colour 1, Bodywork Colour 2, Conversion, Engine Size, Name, Address, Home Telephone, Mobile Telephone, Additional Info.

Any suggestions as to what could be added / removed?

I wouldn't want to include any personal info or vin numbers, for security reasons ;)

Would you be happy to provide the information if it was purely for the registry and not for public display?

I have still got to check up on the Data Protection Act, we had to have a disclaimer for the club we set up because we held info from people so we could send out info and newsletters.

I agree, personal info and vin should not be on public display. Definitely no phone numbers, perhaps the site username could be offered as a point of contact should anyone want to correspond with the owner of a particular van?

What does everyone think of it being called The Commer Register?
Or would Registry be better, or any other ideas?

All sounds good to me;-) Apart from the personal info bit i guess due to identity theft etc etc. Commer register is straight to the point and it is what it is but if you wanted to spruce it up you could name it something like 'The Commer Compendium' Or something?

I'd be happy to supply basic vehicle details, once you have got the basic layout of the register sorted let me know what you need.

A little while ago a chap bought some Karrier spares from me and he wanted to set up a Karrier Bantam register, he even went to the lengths of putting it in the magazines asking for people interested. It never got off the ground, perhaps too small a 'target' audience, cater for all Commers and there must be loads of us out there???

kjh;)
