Commer price guide

I've just come across a copy of 'Motor' from January 1973 with a price guide for Motor Caravans. The Commers are as follows:

Autosleeper from £1542
Car Campers £1409
CI
Wanderer £1568
Autohome from £1728
Highwayman £1765
Dormobile Coaster £1527
Richard Holdsworth £1536
Torcars Sun-Tor Major £1486

For comparison, a Ford Cortina 1600 GXL was £1443 and a Mini 1275 GT was £973. My Renault 17 was £2060, which might explain why it was made in October 1972, but not registered until July 1973. [:0]

Compared with todays motorhomes, this seems very good value. Anyone got a time machine?

The Wanderer, Autohome and Highwayman are all CI.

No, I haven't got a Commer, but I have got a car with sliding doors, hence, not a proper slider!
