Commer Pickup in Mexico

Had an email from Arturo, in Mexico. He is restoring an early pickup. It seem to be missing a few bits, but the body looks reasonable.

I'll be flying over mexico later today on my way back from Guatemala. I'll have a look out of the window and see if I can see it....

I have discovered a Commer Van in Uruguay, but the guy wants $5,000 US for it. A bit pricey, and it has a toyota engine in it.

On my way to Guatemala City Airport on Tuesday, I saw - a Morris Marina Van???????????

How was this possible, seeing as the only other english car I saw during my whole time in central america were a couple of modern minis and a S type jag (new)?
