Commer PB pick up

Unbelievably another year of ownership and another MOT passed with no problem. What a buy
Amazing how many people want to talk about it. "I remember them " immediately followed by "Haven't seen one for ages". Even had a cop wave to me on the way to the MOT yesterday. Not, as my friendly MOT tester said, waving me to get that old heap off the road!

I get people stopping me with Carter my pickup. Most of the time to give me back something that has fallen off of it.;) You missed the most common comment. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT FOR THE PICKUP. If I had a shed full of the I would be rich.:);):):)

Funnily enough nobody has ever asked how much. Perhaps they can see I'm too much in love to sell!
Panky I know very little about mechanical stuff and rely on son Phil to keep me going. But we both had a laugh when Peter the tester drove her on the ramps and just sat there with the engine running. After a couple of minutes he got out and said "How do you turn the engine off?"

I usually get "How do you start it?", "where's the light switch?" and last week's mot, "there's no response with the handbrake!" (back wheels in the rollers:rolleyes:)

Similar thing happened the other day, I drove it onto the rollers but the tester (mature guy) forgot about the hand brake so had to drive out and then back into the rollers to re-set. Then he was fumbling under the dash for the hand brake lever - thought it was the umbrella type:rolleyes:

My mot tester drove the front wheels into the rollers last Saturday and then couldn't get out again. A couple of us had to push (smaller diameter tyres and an empty back of van)
