This van is so cool. It's got an awesome patina and its ripe for an engine conversion. Plus it's got the side step I've spent a life time looking for. Not a bad idea. You could paint it and then write "I love Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan" on the side. Similar to the guys above. Apparently this puts off Isis nut jobs from kidnapping you.

I've actually contacted the seller to see if he's willing to remove the side step and the hinges and then allow me to arrange for a courier to collect them (from the outback in Australia). A bonkers idea which my wife discovered earlier when she saw an email from Gumtree flash up on my macbook. whoops.
