I was wondering if anyone had any advice which was specific to Commers of the PA variety. I'm sure much of the PB buyers guide is very useful but if anyone had some knowledge of these and their peculiarities could they let us know. Also a guide on the sort of prices they would fetch would be appreciated as i have seen a wide disparity on fleabay when they do come up and was wondering what the right price would be to pay for one.

There is a post somewhere about the differences which I am sure someone will link in soon:D. Ours is a PA but not an early one so it looks just the same as the PB except it has the handbrake on the back wheels rather than the front;). There is one other main difference I can't remember. The main difference visually is the front end.

They still rust:( They may well still have the smaller engine in them.

Presumably there are some differences in various parts, i.e the brake cylinders but I am just guessing now............

I would have thought everything applies that is in the PB thread.

Price wise the vans are worth whatever people want to pay for them but those with the best bodywork are going to be the most expensive. There was a proper PA brown one on ebay a while ago with very good bodywork but with a remodlled interior which I think went for £4000ish.
 
Thanks Stan, what age is your Van then? do you know when the engine changed i assume from 1500 to 1725? (did they ever have 1600cc engines) and the handbrake arrangment. ?

Is it possible to tell from the external arrangements as some early ones seem not to have a radiator vent in the front panel ?

I seem to remeber that one and will take a look on my old ebay pictures for it tonight.

anyone else with any info i would appreciate it.

1966 - 1598cc (I think) automatic when registered but has had manual box with overdrive and 1725 fitted at some point in the past.
