At least if you do buy the van we will recognise it by the big thumb print in the roof lol. Well I thought it was funny.

if Eve has stuck around for the last 12 years, and you plan to Marry, I doubt very much she will going anywhere for at least the next 12 years....I'm sure in those last 12 years you have been through some sticky situations.....get the Commer it will be the best thing you ever did, and the future joy it will bring you both will far outweigh the short term grief she may give you:D:D

I can see Eve's point too....why not forget about this van...get to the Wales meet and see everyone elses vans and meet some great folks and see if Eve can resist getting a different van...after the wedding[8D]

if your heart is set on a Rare commer then maybe you have to have the maidstone m8, but in fareness mine doesnt need much more work really and cost me £661 and is tax exempt with o/d. the maidstone is a very rare one and is well worth the money, but if like me you just want A COMMER then stick to your budget m8. all commers are pretty rare now so does it really matter which one you save? and one WILL come up. its evan possible that if your budget was say £1250 then you could win one for around £750 leaving you £500 to spend on parts. that will make a big differance, and eve will think you are using your loaf. but to be honest i was only going to bid £600 for dolly, but i had been bitten and just had to have her. so bid a little more and got lucky. mel was very good about it but then again she knows how long i have wanted one

In this case of a rare Maidstone I'd want the original engine and the numbers to match:(;)

:I i know what your sayingb now greg;) i would still keep the diesel in it though:p

I`d put it back to petrol.....but it would`nt be the original engine would it:D
Such a rare old beast though I would like it whatever is sitting under the engine cover:D

Or better still buy it, renovate it and give it to Woodstar as a wedding present, that will make both him and Eve happy.
yyyyyyyIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPEEEEEE. Problem solved just like that, not like this, but just like that. I don't know how I do it for the money
