Commer Karrier Help - New owner

Good morning to you all, I’m not new to classic car ownership but my sons just bought a 1963 Commer Karrier (a camper van not a horsebox…. My mistake). It has a 5+ litre diesel perkins engine and this along with the air brakes and what he says a crash 4 speed manual gearbox and also being a large truck is entirely new to me. My question is do any of you lovely people have any manuals or help where I can get them from. I’m also in need of a speedo cable…… he doesn’t want to get caught speeding . We are located in North Hampshire, UK

I have a workshop manual, but I'd need to know the chassis no and wheelbase so I can tell if it's the right one.
Probably something like ED31572AXXXX or ED34173AXXXX.
A photo of the front would help too.

Oh.....and welcome to the forum.
I have a Karrier Bantam truck, the baby brother of the Commer Karrier, and I bought a manual years ago but is was the wrong one.

Hi and welcome :) Hopefully Colin will sort you out but there is a cost, we need pics;)

Hi everyone, thank you for your responses so far, I've put some images below showing you all the van, the tyoe of fitting on the speedo cable (gearbox end), the speedometer itself, and then the back of the speedometer.

I apologise I couldn't get a better image of the speedometer rear connection, the wiring on the dashboard was not playing ball when I tried to remove it due to short wires, and I didn't feel like spending my entire weekend documenting whats connected to where so I can put it back.

I did order a commer forward control cable for the van, but unfortunately the connectors on either end were not correct for this model.

Whilst I wait for the supplier to get back to me perhaps someone could tell me if theres a name for the connectors in question?

Many thanks.

Not sure what they are called but looks like a normal knurled nut type of fitting.
Have you tried Rootes Post Vintage Parts in the Netherlands? They do a lot of old Rootes car stuff but might be worth an ask if they've got something in their Aladdin's cave or might point you in the right direction.
Cracking hor....sorry camper
