Well, you wait for ages then three come along together!
Welcome Mark. Us Karrier Bantam owners are few and far between.
Your trucks look great. Some while ago, I suggested to the mods on here that we might have a Karrier Bantam section. How about it mods?
IMG_2460.JPG

That's mine. I bought two, (for £200) and built one out of the best bits I had. That was 25 years ago when they were just rusty old trucks.

I've just had it downplated from 5488kg to 3500kg so my son can drive it on his post 1997 car license. And also I won't have to get an annual VOSA test on it (and have the tyres ripped to shreds by their rollers), nor will I have to have an annual health test when I turn 70, which is frighteningly close now.

This is what the two looked like when I bought them.

I see I had an email from you back in 2015. Thought I recognised your name from somehwere.

I think I could set a new section up but I'd better wait for John to do it, just in case.

love to see rough turn into a swan. not cheap but well worth it when you hit the road for the first time.

Hi Steve, its a small world ( could feel a song coming on ). i take it that it was you that sold it to Ian Smith in leeds. When i bought it i made a promis that id restore it to its former glory and this is were we've got to.

hi mark
we sold it in 2010 to will an ex member on here who was going to convert it to a chip van
it still lived here tho
will didnt carry on with it so i arranged a deal with him and ken sparkes who restores sunbeam talbots the 1950s ones who was going to restore it to coop spec,it left here here in dec2010
for some reason ken didnt do it and i presume he was the one who sold it to ian smith
