hello.
New to this so first off hi to all you commer lovers.
I'm looking at getting my first commer project and would just like to know if anyone has some good advice on an Insurance company that know's what a commer van is. All the online companies have no clue what they are and well you guys have to have them Insured so i came here first for some advice or an educated guess at the price i maybe quoted,
I'm 25 and been driving 7 years with no prags in the past 5 years.

What you think a 1970's ish commer camper would put me back a year or ofc just details of some good companies for quotes

Hi mate, and welcome.

I pay £140 fully comp including breakdown cover. I'm 34 6yrs no claims running a 72 coaster.
I don't think that you will pay much more than that being that you are 25. Just ring around is probably the best thing to do. Try Footman James or Adrian Flux. Infact any classic car insurer really.

I think also that Admin will do a letter for members stating that they are belonging to a club ( Meaning here ) and that may give you a little more discount?
 
Your lucky, ive just insured my boyfriend on our commer and he's 21 and its cost us £535 on insurance, but were got no no claims to use on the van :( but i found there were plenty of offers out there for people OVER 25, so good luck!

H.I.C worth checking out not the cheapest but had a human on the end of the phone who new about Commer vans
all about circumstance me thinks:)
 
TY all for the info and the warm welcome the van hunt is well under way and the piggy jar is raided to see what i can spare should be another commer with a warm home soon screw the government Scrapage bonus i like the look of these little only vans :)
