Wow that looks brilliant - go fetch :p[8D]
For a minute I thought it had been slammed - then I realised it's got no wheels:I

Expensive i reckon as a starting bid? Anyway, i think the reason they are so well looked after in Aus is nothing to do with anything but Climate.....

UHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUH!!!

Australian rust looks so much cooler than British rust and isn't so terminal either. I think sun bleaching of the paint work makes a big difference.

You can all stop dreaming, as I am the new owner of this van. It now lives in Sydney, Australia. I picked it up from Wodonga on the New South Wales/Victorian boarder recently after the original EBAY buyer failed to complete the deal. Hope it wasn't anyone here, but their loss was my gain!

I am hoping to keep it original in appearance, but fit modern motor on LPG and five speed gearbox. Also looking to modify front brakes to vented disc and replace the rear diff with something modern with LSD & rear discs. Aim is for it to be able to cruise at 100-110 kph comfortably and stop safely.

Planning to use it for what it was built to do, and carry and deliver items for a friends interior design and decoration business.

I am also rebuilding a Triumph Mk1 2.5PI, ultimately for club level motorsport, and think that the Commer in this spec will make a great tow/service vehicle, and should look good together.

Will post some pictures shortly in readers rides, and keep you informed on my progress.

Thanks for the comments thus far, and amazingly there were no suprises of the creepy crawly varity included it the sale.

Cheers
