A local trader at The Enfield Pageant of motoring this weekend had a Commer Highwayman for sale its in need of some work to the coachbuilt body and the doors and front valance as well as windscreen surrounds the underside looked in good condition and the seller said the engine had recently been rebuilt. Its also running on an SU carb with non overdrive manual gearbox. It was registerd in July 1973. I think he was hoping for an easy sale but after a lot of interest it didnt go as at 6pm on the 31st and he was open to offers after telling me he wanted £1300. If anyone is interested i can put you in touch with him.

Hi All, I have a 1972 Commer Highwayman for sale with 42K miles, original / untouched, very good condition for the age, engine is superb starts first time even when left for weeks. 12 months tax and 12 months MOT. I may just put it on Ebay, but wanted to run it past CommerVanFan members first. Cheers Bruce [8D]
