Does anyone have Rootes 2,27 litr OHV unit in his van, same as on some Humbers.
Mine is with hard-chromed cylinders.

Another question is that my engine has been on stadstill since seventies.
Ho do you guys recommend to knock it up.
Valve cover had some gunk inside and same stuff must be all over.
I'm worried about clogging oil channels by old residues if new (washing) oil is poured in.
Third question is about lead substitute additives. Do these older engines need it at all?. Mine is from 1955. When lead was added to petrol? On 70's?
