Good luck with your trip guys, I lived in Australia for about 2 years while I was working at Ford in Broadmeadows, Melbourne. As a 'pom' overseas I did a lot of travelling around your beautiful country, I will follow your progress and hopefully recognise some of the places I've been. Regards Colin and Helen:D
 
I have just spent the weekend preparing Rupert for his Marathon trip back to Wales from London a whole 263miles, nothing copared to what you are about to embark on. Best of luck and I really am looking forward to keeping up with your blog and pictures!

also the secret to a constant feeling of youth in my case, im 29, dolly 39 (almost 40) my motor is older than me :)

OOOHHH its good to know that your van is older than you and still goes well Hmmm.Ours has 2 years on me.

Think its time we named our Van,

I was thinking maybe, Matilda, after the iconic Aust song and friends often say its built like a tank, so maybe after the WW2 Matilda tank also.

Does anyone know if there already is a Matilda or have any suggestions for a suitable Aussie Commer name?.

Matilda Rocks! great name & not used as far as I can recall! we do have a Mildred the Paralanian (not added to the the list of owners vans either)

something a bit differant maybe, like coolio? would well suited to the colour (blue=cold) and named after a singer lol
