My well loved and rare classic Commer is up for sale as i am off to travel India.

Commer has had 5 owners from new and comes with the full leather bound Commer manual that came with the van all those years ago. There is a full folder full of the receipts for all the work Commer has ever had done on her.

Commer has a full years MOT. Tax exempt, the current tax disc runs until November 2010.

Engine size = 1598cc.

Fully equipped pop top camper in the rear with a grill and two hobs, sink and tap, bench seats that convert to double bed all in very good condition. Lotsa wardrobe and drawer space.

Commer runs really well and is reliable, starts first time every time

I went to see this van today on my travels. The verdict is.....It's in need of some extensive bodywork to get it looking straight again. Fluted panels are all shot apart from the front valance. It's strong though and has an M.O.T.
Also it's rather badly hand painted so will need sorting. Good engine, started first time. Interior is all good. Natalie who's selling her is really nice and the price is negotiable

But whilst i was on my way to see this one, i spotted another one....And it's a rare beast too...!!! Will post it in another thread to keep it separate.

What are fluted panels, can they be replaced and how much was she asking?

fluted panels run along the bottom line of the van all the way around bottom half of the van, not the end of the world available as reproduction panels from coventry commer panels our very own Woolfy also some in fibreglass from Martin maltas hope that helps till the others come along.
have a look at Sybhil she is missing the flutes either side of her but you can see her others [8D]
