This is a 1965 van with one owner from new that spent some lovely summers in Dorset, Devon & Cornwall and is being saved/restored to the tune of over £30K for the son[:0]

Should be on the road before Christmas....I am more than welcome to go take more pics as progress continues:D

The trip was a very pleasant cruise in the sunshine at a very comfy 60mph. wasn't so eager to start for journey home and was losing power at low revs??? could this be heat/fuel vaporization?

bit of both really...ticks over ok, wants to cut out when accellerate and then just feels like something holding it back...kind of juddery

mmm its been a while since i last saw those panels, i sent them about a year ago i think. did they look ok on the van colin or did they have any trouble fitting any. also is there any more pics of the van. i said it was having a **** load of money spent on it. makes my prices look very competative, haha;):p

in my opininion i looked very closely at the welds and was giving it the ''eye'' for straightness and running my palms over it for smoothness and looks like they are doing a top job...then again for that price what would you expect?

Woolfy am I right in saying that the lower rear corners are your early production ones??...see attention to detail [8D]



 
yes thats correct mate all of those panels i supplied were the origonal ones we first started making before we had the castings made. thats why i asked if they had any teething troubles with the fitting side of it. the van looks cool though.;):p

I originally met a fellow Imper at Bournemouth station and took him there to collect his Imp. He won a competition in Practical Classics to get it re-sprayed. This is his and mine one the day.

They both look great, but I must say that I think yours look the best, Baz. The twin headlamp design works amazingly well on such a small car, which is sort of surprising as I'd think that the proportions would look wrong. But proportions are spot on!

Cheers for the comments guys, LNK is looking less pretty theese days, that pic was from a couple of years ago. Andy (Thowman) had his Singer Chamois coupe version featured in this months Practical Classics - have a look, it's as near mint as you can get.

The commer at Kustom Kolors is almost finished MOT next week, "Bessie" looks fabulous, she is a 1972 PB a HITOR conversion from torrington Devon. in same family from new, genuine 40,000 miles, only rebuild the interior left to do. When is the next meet ??
