what do you know about it?it looks like prison ambulance or some thing of the sort ?

It is certainly very different, as Chris says maybe something other than NHS transport for the infirm. The colour would suggests a meat-wagon for poorly inmates or maybe a private ambulance - more of a minibus than an emergency vehicle maybe? was it kitted out with any equipment/seats. Either way I like it and well worth saving [^]

Sorry i should have said,
Its a ncb ambulance[national coal board]
I rescued it from this pit,at the top of my road.It was being used by the colliery band for transporting there equipment to shows.
No kit inside ,but it would have stretchers inside which ive got off ebay.
Had about £600 of welding done so far ,its done 36.000 miles ,mostly by the colliery band.

I remember you mentioning it now:I. Good size for carting all that gear around. Any idea what band it was, my daughter plays solo horn with Wingates which I believe was originally a colliery band [^]
