Having lost my storage for this van and little prospect of using it this year it will have to go.

I'll get photo's this weekend but basically here is the description:

White commer PB with pop up roof. will have to be spares or repair as it needs a new clutch fitting (release bearing gone). So will need to be towed from Edinburgh

MOT til April '08
Tax til ? I think September or something - I will charge £12 a month for this if you want the tax

Basically I MOT'd it in April last year and due to illness didn't use it in the summer. I then attempted to drive it to Edinburgh in November but the clutch went on the way up so I have been thinking what to do with it. I think its best someone else has a go.

The chassis is in good condition, and it past the MOT last year straight through except for a small piece of welding on the shell (where someone had crashed into it). Due to its lack of use I suspect it would pass again without problem.

The engine is in OK condition. It was running well but does use a little oil. The interior is all complete except for the sink. There is no ignition barrel in it and I don't have the keys for the doors etc.

If anyone wants it on this site you can have it first for £200 plus the tax (ono). Otherwise i'll try it on ebay, and then of course the scrappy last!

Sounds a really good price, there is one northern member who is running a bit low on commers these days - Mr Maltas, any interest?;):D

Is it a long way from you?, could you join RAC and get it recovered to somewhere to store it? (Seems a shame to lose it unless you are happy selling:()

Hey Matthew,

Tempting to take you up on this, as I'm just outside Edinburgh, and have been on the hunt for an engine for a while now. Should have the van going into a garage in a couple of weeks, to hopefully get the engine looked at/reconditioned/reground, and would be nicer if your's didn't have to get scrapped, so I'll see if there are any other takers first :)
 
Sounds like a pretty good van, not the easiest thing to find one good for MOT bodily, hopefully clutch not a problem to find and replace.

Yes failed to work out how to put photo's on here, troglodyte that I am! I did try the right click thing but it didn't seem to work.
Anyway you've obviously found it on the bay.

Craig, if you win it then I can get a clutch fitted to it for you but i'll give no guarantees it will get you home - although if you're local i'm sure it would be fine - where do you live?

£200 including the tax - thanks for the offer but no, 8 months tax is worth £100 odd quid anyway
 
hi chap exactly how immobile is it . would it drive any where under its own steam as mite b interested in it .. dont have to go far twenty or thirty miles would be enough ..
