I have just sent a few comments to the seller of this vehicle but I should be surprised if they show up on the listing.
I suspect that this Cob is fairly sound overall but cosmetically it seems rather a Rootes 'bitsa' to me. This particularly applies to the front end which has a Minx grille, Gazelle headlamp rims and what looks supspiciously like a Minx badge upside down on the bonnet.
Surprise, surprise, I have one of the 'other four' and I think the survival rate may actually be a bit better than that, even for just the Series II on its own. My example is on long term loan to a friend (and previous owner) who has put it back into roadgoing condition and is due to paint it shortly. I think he hopes to keep it for his own amusement really but the pair of us might be persuaded to do a deal of some sort should anybody really want one of these badly.
Incidentally, my Series II looks pretty standard on the outside but it has a lot of Series VI Minx/Gazelle running gear grafted on, which gives it 1725 cc and disc brakes at the front, so it 'goes like stink and stops well' when need be.
