with alpines (which have a smaller flywheel / clutch) the normal path is to fit the bigger flywheel / clutch arrangement from the H120 (same as the PB) but to use the plate from a GT6 so that it fits the 'thick splines' of the earlier rootes box.
I don't know if later GT6s came in a 'fine spline' variant which would suit you H120 box - but if anyone is in a position to 'borrow' a GT6 clutch plate it would be you...
If they do fit then you must be on to a winner as I'm sure uprated GT6 clutch plates must be available.
are you using the heavy duty qh plates they used on the iranian peykan and the hunter estates. ive got one in the competitions van and havent had a problem so far.
On riches competition department van with the holbay in it we havent had any clutch problems at all and it made 92bhp with the 40s on at the wheels on the rolling road not on a dyno so what do you think yours has at the wheels if your eating clutches? We fitted a new not recon borg and bec and its been fine. Rich even had the back of it full of brake discs the other day which was a right weight in the back,it drove fine
Is the spigot bearing ok in the back of the crank?
