To say that Scotty is happy is an understatement. I'm thrilled. Chris and Tim have just left, and i just took Duke for a spin;-) he drives just how i remember him...Perfect end to a really touch and go day. I can't thank Tim an Chris enough but thanks guys;-) Plus thanks to all on here for all the well wishing. Duke WILL be going to the ball.

Right, i need a beer to celebrate.

Oh, and Colin...........I tip my hat to you mate. How you did your clutch on your own defies belief...Pain in the rectum job..So well done again.

The only thing we found (apart from a nasty groove in the flywheel clutch face) was the friction plate was stuck to the pressure plate, needed prying off with a screwdriver [:0] all the old bits were perfectly servicable [B)]

Odd it should happen when driving, If the finger springs have lost their....er spring then the clutch wouldn't work and it may be awkward to tell just by looking - it happened to me on a Viva[xx(]

The only logical explanation i could think of was the original problem was air in the clutch fluid, which was bled out last week, and the plate has stuck due to standing so long causing another problem [?]
