Close enough to be a Commer mug?

Ah seen this design on a few FF things and is a strange hybrid. Is more Commer than anything else I'd say, what the Commer Would look like if more VW but then probably cost twice the price :)
 
Talking of vw. There is a dub bus weekend down the road from me and was thinking of taking my battle bus down, they probably wouldn't let me on the green(even if there were tickets left) but was wondering what the welcome would be:confused: lol
 
Few of the neighbors and I are popping down. One is a vw fanatic who actually had something to do with getting it going years ago. Park up and have a nose around and should be fun.
 
Just like R2 it makes me smile. Got given a really nice set of pressed reg plates to replace the faded plastic set. Will fit them after he has been to hospital to have Martin’s exhaust manifold fitted today
 
If you really want a proper Commer mug you can use one of your own photos on Vistaprint (other suppliers are available). £5 ish.

Disaster. Garage has rung to say manifold doesn’t fit. So either engine is wrong or manifold is. How would I know if my engine is not origional for Pb 1972?
