I always look forward to my copy of 'Classic Van and Pickup' dropping on my doorstep but today brought a glow to my heart!

Not only one, but two Commer Vans featured.

The first was a shell, sat on somebodys drive. In short, it turns out some guy has built a spaceframe chassis with a Chrysler 440 big block, for drag racing. Then gone looking for a body. Spotted a Commer cab in a scrappies, thought 'Oh that would be good', and took it home. Then found a rear camper body to attatch to it. So here we now have a drag racing Commer camper! Even more extreme than my ramblings of earlier this week.

Next, suprise, suprise, Panky's Commer camper, Harvey the RV? Nice camper, Panky.

This really inforces the idea that we must meet up this summer, so get going now, crank up those engines, get down to the MOT station, and lets have a picnic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you really want, I have a caravan rally field we can use?
 
Just fully read the dragster article. He has ditched the Chrysler 440 and is fitting a 706cu (11.6L) 1250 Hp and with nitrios will bring it to 2100HP, or in laymans terms- 50 Commer engines bolted together.
Mmmmmmmmmmm now what else can I find down the bottom of the garden.
 
hi there mart its woolfy here ,nice touch with the artical on the dragster , why not shove that big lump of yours into the ambulance then you could really show them. also did you see my new advert on ebay i have the door bottoms now and will have the floor pans on monday or tuesday. like i said on another topic the other day though ,i can get the exact shape made for them with the holes for the fluid bottles aswell, but struggling to copy the exact tred pattern on them ,could do with the original press really ,you dont have that down the bottom of your garden do you by any chance. but we have put our own pattern on them and they look quite good if i say so myself.

Was quite a surprise when I saw Harv shown in last months CV&PU 'Next Month' section (I think that's right) and totally chuffed to get a full page spread this month. Doesn't he look splendid in the sunshine, unfortunately the shot with the caption 'some work needed on the body' is the reality at the moment and the cab with the white seats nicely setting it off is currently full of dust, cobwebs, and Mini bits.
