I think the lady I sold it to spent 5,000 on having it done,but I don't know what standard of work.

Beachboy, I love your report on that Commer Maidstone (if that is what it is.. at least it looks like one). How lovely it is to hear about a nearly 50 year-old camper which is now being used by third generation. That is exactly how it should be ! [^]

That`s the great thing about the Classic Camper Club, seeing the diverse range of campers that are at the rallys, where else are you going to see, Commers, Bedfords, Austin J2 & J4`s, Ford Thames, VW`s, etc all on the same rally field at the same time and all in various condition from concourse to ratty? Two Calthorpe Home Cruisers parked side by side this year how rare is that? Its like stepping back in time when you drive on to the field and park up next to all those lovely old campers....and the vans are good as well:D

If there was an award for Best Sounding Engine at Show then Terry's 67? A108 would get my vote:)
The knees did go slightly weak at that carburated 318 V8 rumble;)

The best sounding engine of the lot will certainly be a standard Commer petrol, running on low idle speed and spitting the exhaust out from a straw-sized exhaust pipe :D:D:D
