Chris's new new new new ride

So The Commer finally has a name! while driving to wales we had brake failure, luckily it happened while on a congested roundabout.....we followed the car we bumped into to a safe place. There was only damage to The Commer, his front end again, last time he got a Bump was a recovery truck after recovery me with points problem he delivered Mr Bump safely, then reversed into his front panel, poor Mr Bump!
We had the brakes checked at the side of the road fluid pot full so it was not leaking.checked the pedal, all was ok so eventually carried nervously on with no more brake problems.
We arrived at Pending had rain, wind, sun, sea & racing.
I lost count of how many times I bumped my head on Mr bump,we packed up by Sunday & nervously left pendine in Wales The only problems being over heating so we need a radiator bespoke made & will be trying to sort that out & getting through more oil than fuel....rather annoying as I just spent on oil & filter change grrrr......... Mr Bump is on the mend still slowly but surely.

An easily repairable dent in the front, and a couple of oil leaks to cure, but otherwise ok. Cruising speed is limited to under 70 due to cooling issues, it really needs a bespoke radiator making.
The piston is from the C90, that didn't even finish it's first run !
The T500 set a new record for the mile (100.006mph) but is suffering from fuel starvation, even without the main jets fitted !

He's a record breakerrrrrrrr yeah:cool:
Thought that was a Rover piston for one horrible moment:eek: Honda one is bad enough but at least it went out in style;)
Van is looking very well - you cant see the dent

Post bus did the same thing. Had an intermittent fault:mad:. You would have great brakes:)then no brakes:( Had to drive home on hand brake at one point. No leaks found. In the end had to fit a new master cylinder from Martin. Van great now.:):):)

Thank you Edd. It rained & the wind blew! Then the sun came out.I was a bit grumpy... over tired...the vans still got issues & anxiety level up... putting awning up..it stayed mainly dry in the van & the awning.....the van is too small not to use one.I had to pull the roof down as it leaked at the rubber around the top window. Hard work for a couple of nights & kept spilling water & mopping up. Otherwise it was lovely!

Finally got the engine oil leak free and running very nicely. Next job is to replace the brake master cylinder and move the servo somewhere cooler.
