Chris's new new new new ride

Where's the awning going... Back door or to the side?

I tried the idea against my side door but couldn't get the height away from the opening door... And the awning was from a caravan so needed to be taller than my van. Gave it to a caravan owner!

Yours looks more suitable to a campervan. Youve got the right figure of eight so should attach to gutter.

Couldn't quite read what the yellow straps said... But maybe to tension. The awning once up?? Particularly if it is to be a true drive away awning...

Yes it's a drive away awning! Rear doors as I don't have a side door. The yellow steps just say out door revolution....

Its pretty simple Chris - there are only the two poles that cross like you have done to put it up.
Yellow straps are commonly know as "tie downs" they can be put across the van (not so useful for commer setup) or clipped elsewhere and used as additional guy ropes in high winds.
There could be some figure of eight channel stuff in the bag which allows you to attach the gusset to the channel above the back doors

Thank you John! Do you know if I can use fabsil on it? Or do you think it will be ok?
ITS starting to look like a nest!20170507_154431.jpg

Excellent news on the pics - I would fabsil it - whilst we are good in drying our tents etc it hasn't been used for some time

They say women take ages to get ready....here I am waiting to go racing van all packed bike needs loading hes not ready.....I will wash up then have a nap before the 8 hr drive(if we are lucky) hope we have done enough!
Thank you John....

Oh No:eek:
Glad to hear you are OK and hope the damage is light. Did you sort it or are you back at base?

We can not find a reason for it.....the only thing Tim thinks could of happened is heat in the Engine bay getting so hot that the brake fluid boiled...The servo is not in a good place...no loss of fluid...& didnt have any further trouble with the brakes....it was so hot I had my windows wide open till we arrived rain & all....yes we were lucky it happened in rush hour going very slowly round a roundabout no damage to op car..got a caved in grill Tim pulled it out only jusy noticeable if you know! Thinking of big ali rad repositioning servo & anthing else.Thank you chaps xxx

Ouch! not something that ever happened with us, and we were running a lot hotter than Tim has managed to make it I think :S

Might be advisable to flush the braking system out with new fluid. It absorbs moisture over time and lowers the boiling point so makes matters worse.

I love the internal photo of the rear!!!
Really jealous :-(

Looks super relaxing and comfy
