i must admit i do love those old sunbeam rapiers, i nearly bought one a few years ago, they look fantastic when the widows are down and they have that pillarless coupe look about them. oh now i want one after thinking about them.

yes sometimes it rusts on the seams where it meets the roof section and also where it meets the lower middle panel. but probably not as much as some of the other panels i can think of. but hey you never know someone might need one some day , and i will be there waiting in the wings ready to pounce.:p
 
Yes I had mine for four years, they are proper fifties cars with all the chrome and the fins, and as you say they are great when you wind the windows down - blows your wig off! theres a convertable on ebay at the moment
 
anyway its time for me to hang up now as i can here her knocking on the bedroom floor up stairs, i think im in trouble again as i said i would be up in a minute, that was two hours ago. see you all tomorrow night.(of course i would like to add though before i go to bed that i do ware the trousers in my house and by no means am i under the thumb.)
