I'm always doing that! the good woman likes to keep things tidy, help!!!!
My work bench used to carry a sign saying

It's not just me then!! The number of hours ive spent looking for stuff i could have finished Thingyjig ages ago.(almost or is that wishfull thinking).

After 10 minuets i would give up knowing if ever found it it would be a miracle as my garage is certainly no tidier than yours!

I've spent many an hour looking for stuff blaming folk for moving it reliasing it's where i left it in the first place!
