Chloe gets wet!

Went high up in the peaks for a week in Chloe, had a great time even if the weather fought us all the way!

First night was pretty much a storm, very high winds and lashing rain, it rained everyday as well, Chloe didn't leak though, its a good test I reckon!

Used our new 'Day Tent' and windbreaks, the tent is mint, since were unable to get a rear fitting awning this is the next best thing, to be fair, its no hassle having to run a few yards to escape the weather.

What a great set up, the marker lights on the guy ropes are an excellent idea [^]. You seem to be able to pick out the nice quiet sites.

Maybe its the fact were the only soft sods who want to go camping in a monsoon?


This is an adults only site (sounds a bit fruity) near longnor (Ashbourne/Buxton) It was pretty quite in the field we were in, there was another field full of thents and another with caravans that obviously park there all year. It got real busy in the last few days though...
 
Monsoon? There's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes :). What's the plan when Chloe has been 'sent to the farm' are you still going to be Commering or has something else taken your fancy.

Does the Christmas day I spent in my first commer in a Force 10 storm next to the Atlantic count as bad weather?

Nah, with a tin of chicken in wine and a small bottle of Norfolk punch mulled over my camping stove and everywhere white (with sea spray instead of snow) - best Christmas I ever had![^]
 
You obviously did have the right clothes, wrapped up in a warm Commer - bless :)
 
don't know if they were the right clothes, just lots of them![:X]

On one of the nights around that time of year - I couldn't find hat and gloves in the van so was quite relieved I didn't get any visitors that night as had trousers on my head and socks on my hands.
Now that's camping! (or just barking)
 
Sounds like you were very confused, or desperate [:0] I've worn odd socks (and even odd shoes) in the past but that takes the biscuit :)
