So you might just as well give me your van as you are not going to be able to use it when you have hens to feed and water every day or is it as you say it's Cazz's project so she has to stay home while you go camping

well, Les, the plan was to take the chickens camping too!.....fresh eggs for breakfast and Barbeque chicken for supper:D[}:)]:D

I'll ask Cazz, but I don't think so, they can be spiteful can't they? and I don't think the neighbours would be too impressed! The site is a day center for adults with disabilities and the neighbours already moan about the noise! Thanks anyway Lee:)

That sounds pretty good to me, when I get Lulu on a meet I will make sure that she is parked up next to you, I love boiled eggs and soldiers, but Lee definitely no cockerel( notice I write it out fully) as I would hate to be woken up in the early hours of the morning by Colin's cock.

well if you know of anyone - I have 2 for re-homing, just learning to crow and just realising what hens are for!

Just thought Colin, you take the hens and I'll take my bread maker and yes I do know how to use one , before you ask and I will admit the bread maker and me make some great bread, good enough to eat without butter or jam, or in my case because I am so hard up just dripping and bread

The 'house' was donated by someone who used to keep chickens and the 'run' i built myself:)

Hope you don't have too many foxes around, the landlord where my workshop is has had all his chickens killed recently.

Thanks for that thought Andy, lol .....The chicken wire goes down a foot and out a foot so hopefully they won't be able to dig their way in....hopefully![V]

our fence is only 3 feet high - we had one attack by a fox - but the cockerel attacked him and saw him off (there was a trail of blood over the fence and across the fields that I sent the dogs after but they never found him - he has never been back. Willy the cock lost a spur and a clump of feathers in the battle - but won a million hero points (except now he attacks us if we dont maintain eye contact)

I know that you probably wont believe this but foxes can climb fencing like yours. Near where I used to live is Cliffe Castle and they had some ducks in a pen, probably higher than yours and one of the security men asked me if I had seen anyone taking the ducks as they were disappearing. I told him about foxes being able to climb but I could see that he didn't believe me. One night one of the security men stayed in the hut over night, fell asleep and was awakened by a lot of noise. He was highly suprised to see a fox climbing over the fence with a duck in it's mouth. They had made a den under some porta cabins being temporary used as class rooms at the local school.

Some people are so inconsiderate and will complain about anything. My neighbours have the cheek to complain when I start singing on my karaoke after I have been to the pub or club and I always go home early when I feel the need to sing, no later than 2.00 o'clock in the morning so i can't fathom out whats wrong with themquote:

At least we don't have to avoid running them over any more!

Nice job Colin[8D]
Foxes? wire the fence into the mains[}:)] If the chickens run into it then you won't need to cook them:)
