Charlie's new home

The vac connection on the carb should be blanked off otherwise you draw air in and get a weak mixture - and it pinks;)
But be careful one stump is the vac connection the other is the float chamber over flow, the engine will die if you blank that off - just pipe it away safely.

arh that makes sense. Looking more closely the stub had been removed and blanked with a domed nut - I was looking at the over flow!

It appears he was running very weak. A tweak on the mixture and fiddle with the timing and he seems sooo much happier.

Seems obvious now.... popping on over run and needing over choking on start.

Give him a blast tomorrow to the beach just for good measure :)

thanks as always,

Tom

SO after chipping away at him for the last, well feels like forever, we are nearly there. Just got to wire up all the 12/240v kit.

So on the interior we ripped out the lot basically, well left in the cabinet carcasses but refitted fascias, draws, panels, sink all soft furnishings, the lot. Soph my partner did most of the painting and made the curtains and that. That's beyond me!

I made all the surfaces and table from oak - I doubled up the edges on the surfaces to make them nice and chunky but keep weight down. It was actually very cheap as most materials were borrowed from scrap piles - but obviously time was the pay off.

The pic look a little, erm pretentious, as they are for the website for when we hire him for the odd weekend.

well, annoyingly, someone keeps nicking large amounts of money out of my bank account. It happens each month on exactly the same day just when i think I have enough to go to the pub

It is lovely but just one point about the curtains and the cooker, I think you'll need something to stop them going on fire:eek:
