change of plan

2 hours today spent on the sherpa trying to get her to spark[V]. i tried everything, new points, plugs, cap and rotor arm. kept trying it and no spark:(, cleaned all the connections, still could not see a spark[:(!]. finally i thought "F this ill give up and come back tommorrow"[B)] put it all back together then thought "ill just give it 1 last try" :DYEEEES:D, she fired and run like a dream[8D], after sittin still for god knows how long i moved her back and forward a few feet on her own power[8D];) nearly everything works. but badly needs an oil change and full service

Er....it's a Sherpa:I Crusty lemon and it was free:) Worste case - weigh it in[}:)] Best case turn it into a peace, sell it and buy a crusty Commer;)

yeah, thats the plan. commer is the next step. just want to do sherpa first as with a freebee if i mess up it dont matter lol. once i know i can weld etc. ill find a commer and start again

ill save up and buy one that dont need welding lol, but ill be ok with it, im from a family thats motor crazy and i grew up working on them, welding is pretty much the only thing left to learn now

cheers, will keep everyone posted, all i need now is a welder and some sheet metal, comes home next weekend (being driven on trade plates by my dad) then the fun really starts, chop,chop. weld, weld. still deciding if i should whack it in for an mot and see what happens

:DSUCCESS:D, my dad came down and drove her home today. was a little bit lumpy due to the fact
that the points need adjusting, but made it home with no probs[8D]. pulled well considering it
all needs setting up and sounded sweet. Lynn is now home and sat in my garden. :plet the fun start:p
