Carburettor leaking fuel

you are welcome, and P.S glad you are feeling better:)
Hopefully you will report back by lunch time to say you got it running[8D]

i think i might have exactly the same problem - fuel coming out of carb at fuel intake. i think i'll try the take apart + clean method.

are there any warnings/advice from anyone about doing that? i'm not a mechanic, but am very adept at taking things apart and putting them back together - and usually i only have one or two bits left over :D

Hi Rich, Do you have access to an air line? or even a foot pump? Might be worth blowing it through before you take it apart.
Do you have an inline filter before the carb? well worth putting one in...and another between the tank, before the pump:)

I ended up taking the slackers route - a swift knock from the back of a screwdriver fixed it, and the engine started moments later :)

Btw, there is already an inline filter before the carb - I think i'll leave it to more competent people than I to mess with the fuel lines...

Now i just need to work out where the brakes have gone. :(
