I know this has been discussed many times...but are SU's really that much better than Webers?
Tigger has a Weber, K&N and RC40...when I got Tigger I was told the exhaust manifold had been modified/bored out by Tim?
He still feels like he is struggling to breathe when I accelerate hard and starts to splutter...I'm pretty sure the jets are clean and I have one of Tim's fuel tanks so it's not a snakeskin issue....
Ok, thanks, I'll email Tim, I think I have a spare inlet manifold somewhere..........I'll look for a suitable carb on ebay and ask if it's right before I buy if thats ok.....
would this be right??

It's not so much that the SU is better, it's more a case of it's the right size. The Weber is 34 or 36mm i can't remember which, but the HIF6 or HIF44 is 44mm, more like the correct size for the airflow the engine needs. Either of those SU,s will do Colin.
