Thanks for all the great ideas, when i buy a van i'll have to try some of them and see which works best for me. Does anyone know the best place to buy Commer campers?

you're already there! also classic van and pick up magazine subscription would be good. i am also of the stand up and fall off the board type but am determined to get there as i really like being in the sea.

Having seen some crew cab vws over the weekend, I have decided that I would love a crew cab commer, BUT:
I want the space in the back to be big enough for a canvas A frame tent, with a double mattress, space for clothes etc and a small cooker. Having looked at the dimensions, I reckon to achieve this I will have to create....

i like it too, actually its coming down to my workshop in a couple of weeks time to be started, its only been sitting on my drive for about three or four years now so getting there. its had a few new panels already like front floor pans and front valance and a few inner front cills and rears. but then it came to a halt.
