Can’t get reverse gear

Hello everyone , so I’ve been using my van a lot recently and selecting reverse is now almost impossible to get, I’ve just been stuck in the middle of our road intending to reverse in home and within seconds cars were both sides waiting to pass !. Embarrassing. I put new bushes on the linkage last year from Martin so before I go make things even worse what am I looking for to adjust ?, thanks.
 
There's a connecting rod with a plastic ball joint on either end running from the change rod to a bracket on end of the selector shaft on the gearbox. The bracket is clamped on the the selector shaft by a pinch bolt, first thing to check is if the bracket is tight on the shaft as these have been known to wear and become loose on the shaft making selecting reverse difficult. If that is secure then make sure the plastic ball joints on the connecting rod are tight, then try adjusting the rod by disconnecting one of the ball joints and screwing it on a couple of turns, if that doesn't improve things try undoing the ball joint a couple of turns.
